English Classes for Newcomers – In-Person & Online | Now Open in Edmonton

Let’s Help International (LHI) is pleased to offer English Classes for Newcomers in Edmonton, available both in person and online. This program is designed to support newcomers—especially individuals from East Africa whose primary languages include Kinyarwanda, Kinyamulenge, Kirundi, and Swahili—to build confidence and practical English skills for everyday life in Canada.

English language skills are essential for integration, employment, education, and community participation. LHI provides a culturally responsive and supportive learning environment that respects learners’ backgrounds and learning needs.

Program Benefits

Program Levels

Classes are offered in three levels to ensure appropriate learning placement:

  • Beginner Level – For learners with little or no English
  • Intermediate Level – For learners with basic English skills seeking improved fluency
  • Advanced Level – For learners aiming to strengthen conversational, academic, or professional English

Class Schedule & Fees

  • Days: Monday to Friday (every working day)
  • Time: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Program Duration: 3 months

  • Class Delivery: Learners may choose in-person or online classes after registration
